Born in 1893, Brigid McCrory's life was defined by faith and a deep commitment to caring for the elderly. Inspired by her grandfather and her Catholic upbringing, she moved from Ireland to Scotland as a young girl, where she excelled in school and her parish of the Holy Family Mossend. When she grew up she joined the Little Sisters of the Poor and later founded the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. Her compassionate vision transformed care of the elderly and infirm in the USA and beyond, creating homes of dignity and spiritual comfort. Declared Venerable by Pope Benedict XVI, Mother Angeline's legacy of humility and service continues to inspire in Scotland, Ireland, the USA and beyond.
